The PADI Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV) Specialty Course introduces divers to the exciting world of underwater scooters, allowing them to explore larger areas underwater with less effort and more enjoyment.

This specialty course is one of the most exciting PADI programs, giving divers a completely different way to explore reefs, wrecks, and dive sites safely and efficiently.

The course includes:

A theoretical session covering:

Fundamentals of DPV use

DPV dive planning

Safety procedures and underwater communication while using scooters

Air and battery management

Handling malfunctions and emergency situations

Practical training on:

DPV setup and operation

Controlling speed and direction underwater

Maintaining buoyancy and trim while using the DPV

Teamwork and underwater communication during movement

Two training dives in the Red Sea using underwater scooters under the supervision of professional instructors, where participants apply their newly learned DPV skills in a safe and enjoyable environment.

This course allows divers to cover greater underwater distances comfortably while adding excitement and adventure to their diving experience.

Course Prerequisites:

Participants must hold a PADI Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent).
